Listen Sermon 02-25-18
In 2017 Fairview gave over 8,630 items to the Lawrenceville Co-op's Food Bank. Our goal for 2018 is 8,000 items, which is about 545 per month.
We start another year bringing in our offerings to God's Pantry for the Lawrenceville CO-OP. We increased our giving by 38% or 2,365 units. An outstanding effort by the Fairview Family, Fairview's Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. We start off this year with 239 units in January and that is 10 units over last year. We need an average of 545 units per month to meet last year without the Christmas Tree. We just had our Chili Cook-off and Lent starts March 1st. Both of these activities and our weekly giving should bring in a lot of units for the CO-OP. Thank you for all your help MISSION COMMITTEE!
The Co-op requests donations of
canned meats, peanut butter, cereal (oats and grits) ,canned fruit AND They also expressed a real need for toilet paper, soap, toothpaste, and other hygiene products since "Food Stamps" cannot be used to purchase these items.
FAIRVIEW FAMILY ANSWERS THE CALL AND DELIVERS 939 UNITS TO THE LAWRENCEVILLE CO-OP. AT ATHE MOMENT "GOD'S PANTRYI" IS EMPTY; BUT I KNOW IT WILL BE FILLED BY THE END OF JUNE!! TARGET FOR JUNE IS 400 UNITS WHICH WILL KEEP US ON PACE FOR THE YEAR.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!
THE CHALLENGE IS FOR "EACH" MEMBER TO BRING IN 40 CANS (ONE FOR EACH DAY) DURING LENT. THAT'S ABOUT $ .50 PER DAY. IF EVERYONE MEETS THE CHALLENGE WE WILL DELIVER OVER 2,000 CANS TO THE CO-OP BY EASTER. BRING YOUR CANS IN ON SUNDAY!.

It's that time again! Sunday School Sunday from 9:45-10:30 a.m.
Teachers Marian Hudson, C. Ann Gittings, along with Allison Bascas, will be starting our Sunday School year off the following Sunday, September 17, with "Feasting on the Word", a lectionary-based curriculum. We will be studying some of the same Biblical texts that will be read and proclaimed during Worship on the same Sunday - enhancing and reinforcing our understanding of our faith, and how we can serve God. This study will take us to April, at which time we will finish out our Sunday School year with a study of Acts, taught from the Warren Wiersbe Bible study series. Lynn Curry will be delivering the study from Acts, which will take us through the end of our Sunday School year in May.
All materials you need for these 2 studies will be provided by Fairview.
Prayer & Bible Study will meet on every other Monday, February 4 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Fairview's Fellowship Hall. Please bring a sandwich and drink for lunchtime. We will meet every other Monday. Please join us!

Title:“More Precious Than Gold”
Scripture: Psalm 19 & John 2:13-22
Thought for Reflection: The story of Jesus driving the moneychangers from the Temple courts does not fit with our expectations of a meek and mild Jesus, does it? His passion for purity in the Temple is a profound expression of his love for his Father and proper worship. How do we express our own reverence for God?
